Football is a sport that is loved worldwide and has a great impact on societies. Its transformative impact is used as an effective solution to social problems in many projects ranging from the prevention of AIDS in Africa to the inhibition of drug abuse in Colombia.
We carry out various social development projects to support the strength of particular groups (refugees, socioeconomically disadvantaged groups, etc.) and to raise awareness on gender equality by taking advantage of football's magical power.
Considering the needs of the target group, we produce useful collaborations that can be integrated with the work of national and international development organizations as well as social responsibility projects of firms.
In these programs all across Turkey, training on football and psychosocial development are organized for children from various backgrounds who have had different levels of training. To support the strength of particular groups (refugees, socioeconomically and culturally disadvantaged groups, etc.) and to raise awareness on gender equality, these programs are organized only for girls or groups which include both girls and boys. They are designed in a way that kids from different age groups can participate. Considering the needs of the target group, we produce useful collaborations that can be integrated with the work of national and international development organizations as well as social responsibility projects of firms.
Kızlar Sahada Academy is designed to make football accessible to girls of all segments of society. We have organized this one-week development program since 2016, and it includes socioeconomically disadvantaged girls aged 10-12. The difference between the Academy and other programs is that it allows for peer learning. The volunteers who organize the Academy are high school or university students. Meanwhile, an elementary school located in a socioeconomically disadvantaged area is identified, and the girls in this school are included in the project. Volunteer students provide Academy students training on football, gender equality and in various areas (science, coding, robotics, drama, music, dance, etc.) for a week. At the end of the program, Academy students prepare a great show and a splendid football game for their teachers and families. Each Academy is funded by the sponsors that volunteer students found.
